hello, i’m andrea.
my love for color analysis was born out of efficiency and minimalism. colors have brought me joy since I was a child, admiring my violet butterfly tufted rug in my bedroom. that fascination turned into a love for fashion and beauty.
I was following fashion trends while spending money on clothing and makeup that I wasn’t confident in. how come orgasm by nars and velvet teddy by mac looked horrendous on me, but looked amazing on the beauty guru on youtube? why was my money being wasted on clothes that would inevitably be donated and makeup that would be thrown away? the fashion industry is already a large contributor to pollution.
this confusion led me to book my first color analysis in Tokyo. yay! a clear direction. I was typed as a cool light summer. after buying new makeup and clothing in Ginza, I was ready to take on the world in my color palette.
intuitively, why wasn't I feeling confident about how cool tones looked on me? deep down, I knew the colors were wearing me instead of the other way around.
a few years later, I went on a solo trip to Seoul and decided to become certified in color analysis by training under one of the most respected color analysts in the country. I wanted to learn the science and artistry behind the craft.
now, imagine my shock as my mentor typed me as a warm deep autumn! and my worst color palette was… cool light summer. by understanding color theory, I finally understood why cool colors had never felt right on me in the first place.
I know firsthand how different methodologies can lead to different results. that is why I combine multiple approaches to reach a more refined conclusion.
color analysis is not about trends. it reveals what is already timeless on you.
my mission is to help individuals find their true colors to streamline their lives and find confidence within themselves. to save themselves the headache of choosing what to buy and what to wear.
before becoming a color analyst, I was a cartographer. now, in a different way, I still help people find direction.
allow me to help you navigate your colorful journey.
XO,
andrea
